First Time Oxygen Extract From Mars Planet With Help Of NASA's  Perseverance Rover it's Historic Movement !!!

Technicians at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory lower the Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE) instrument into the belly of the Perseverance rover.

It is big achievement for human being  growing list of “firsts” for NASA’s newest six-wheeled robot on the Martian surface referred  to as Perseverance, includes converting some of the Mars Planet’s thin, carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere into oxygen. It's a unprecedented extraction of oxygen was achieved on Tuesday by an a toaster-size, experimental instrument aboard Perseverance referred as Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE) accomplished the task. The test took place April twenty, After the 60th Martian day journey from  Earth, since the mission landed on February 18 in Red planet's atmospher.

It is a great achievement of NASA's latest mission to Red planets: coverting carbon dioxide form the mar's atmosphere into pure, breathable oxygen, said by U.S. space agency in Wednesday. 

In it's first attempt, a toaster sized experimental instrument MOXIE, short listed for Mars oxygen In-Situ Resources Utilisation Experiment. Create around 5 gram's of oxygen, it is similar like to 10 minutes breathable oxygen for an  astronaut.

Trudy kortes, Director of technology demonstration with NASA's Space technology mission Directorate, said the  “MOXIE isn’t just the first instrument to produce oxygen on another world,”. Trudy kortes say that this  technology help the  mankind & future mission "live off the  land" of another world.

The initial output was modest, the marked the  fire experimental extraction of a natural resources from the environment of red planet for direct use by  human. This statement said  by the  NASA's official.

MOXIE principal investigator,Michael Hecht of the Massachusetts Institute of technology Haystack observatory said that oxygen is Master key, for both rockets or astronauts.

How carbon dioxide convert into breathable oxygen on Mars how it work?

A device or instrument used in perseverance works with electrolysis, which used  extremely high heated to separate oxygen molecules from rich carbon dioxide which present 95% amount on  Mars  atmosphere.

Negligible amount of oxygen exist on  Mars, and remaining 5% is Mar's atmosphere, and some amount of nitrogen and argon atom are present in mars.

But oxygen supply is needed in critical eventual human exploration of the Mars, both as a sustainable source of necessary stuff for rockets fuel to take off them Home and breathable Air  for Astronauts.

NASA official said that  to return back four astronaut from  Martian  surface would  be needed  a 7 metric tons  rocket fuel, with  combined  we need 25 metric tons of oxygen. 

Transporting a one-ton oxygen conversion instrument to Mars  is more beneficial  than transporting to haul 25 toms of oxygen in tank from  Earth to  mars

Mr.  Hecht  said that  living h working in mars would  required One  matric ton of  oxygen  to  whole  year.

According to concept MOXIE  is designed  to produce up to 10 gram's per hour, and scientist planning to run  machine at least  nine time over  upcomming  two years under  critical  conditions and speeds, said  by NASA.
